August 2005 One of the best things about Scrappy cartoons is their insistently 1930s feel. Most were in black and white, and don't suffer a bit for it. That's why we've given this site an Art Deco/streamline aesthetic and eschewed the use of colors not seen in most Scrappy cartoons (that is, everything except black, white, and shades of gray). We hope that Dick Huemer, Art Davis, and Sid Marcus might have approved, or at least understood. Scrappyland
is produced in the Mervyn Heights neighborhood of San Francisco, U.S.A.,
using whatever PC and/or Mac products we have handy. We've tried to
make the site work decently in any modern browser (we're fond of Firefox),
and we've worked to make it accessible to the visually-impaired. Our
Web host is the admirable Pair.com. to send us e-mail. We'll assume that letters are meant for possible publication unless you state otherwise. Scrapmaster: Harry McCracken Special thanks
